At this dinner event artist Taus Makhacheva explores the changing relationships to food in the Russian Caucasus, with dishes spanning from the time of the Caucasian War (1817-1864) till the present. The event highlights the artist’s interest in folklore, as well as in contemporary consumer culture. It will, amongst others, include custom made replicas of early 20th century Dagestani cutlery.
