How we select our residents
Delfina Foundation selects artists, writers and curators for its residency programme in two main ways.
Our selection process varies depending on the specific residency programme, partner, funder, and place.
A majority of our residents are selected via:
1. Solicited proposals or nominations from liked-minded institutions, artist networks, or organisations, which are assessed by a selection panel based on availability.
2. Open calls for applications, which are reviewed competitively by a jury of art professionals.
The Board of Trustees can also directly invite suitable candidates on the advice of the Director.
Current and upcoming opportunities are posted in the News section of our website. Application forms are made available during the period for these solicited proposals, and each application includes the terms of the residency and funding available, if appropriate. Unsolicited proposals will not be considered. If there are open calls, this link will be active.
Due to the volume of enquiries, we are unable to respond to requests for information about our open calls. We encourage interested candidates to follow us via our newsletter, Facebook and Twitter. Please see our Contact page for more information.
