Delfina Foundation is happy to announce a new partnership with the Danish Arts Foundation for a 12 week residency for an artist or curator from, or based in, Denmark. The first residency is for a 12 week period, from 8th January 2018 to 1st April 2018, and the call is open for applications.
THE SELECTED ARTIST WILL RECEIVE:
-A twelve-week residency in London, including one return, economy-class flight, and a living allowance for food/per diems and materials;
-A single bedroom at DF with shared facilities, such as the laundry room, kitchen, and dining room;
-Opportunities to engage in the art scene in UK through structured and independent time and activities; and
-Access to a programme of planned group activities and visits to cultural organisations in the UK.
Delfina Foundation hosts a mix of artists with a range of backgrounds, from sculptural to curatorial practices; therefore, their facilities are not equipped for specific practitioners. London does, however, offer an immense amount of resources that can be accessed for specific needs, from darkrooms to kilns.
The home of Delfina Foundation includes an event and exhibition space of 1,650 square feet, where talks, exhibitions, screenings and other activities are held. The property also features a communal kitchen area, an outdoor terrace and courtyard, the foundation's offices, and a library/resource room, which includes reference books, magazines, and other archives that can be accessed by residents and the general public upon appointment.
From April 2017 Delfina Foundation launches a new thematic programme, Collecting as Practice, and applications relating to this theme are welcomed.
More information and details on how to apply can be found here.
Deadline for applications: 25 April 2017
