Delfina Foundation

Residencies for Ukrainian curators

Delfina Foundation collaborates with IZOLYATSIA on a residency for an Ukrainian curator.

IZOLYATSIA the cultural platform founded in Donetsk until military occupation and exile, relocated to Kyiv in June 2014 presenting projects from its base there as well as throughout Ukraine and the world. These include ZMINA, a series of educational and creative initiatives in Eastern Ukraine, international residency Architecture Ukraine (Mariupol-Kyiv), the exhibition Culture and Conflict: IZOLYATSIA in Exile held at the Palais de Tokyo, (Paris), in DOX (Prague) and in terms of festival Friedensfest (Augsburg, Germany), #onvacation project at La Biennale di Venezia (Venice) and project Letters to the Mayor in collaboration with Storefront for Art and Architecture (New York).

Our collaboration supports a curator through a competitive open call for applications. Lina Romanukha was selected for a residency that took place in winter 2016 for three months. Clemens Poole was in residency during Delfina Foundation's summer 2016 programme Politics of Food: Markets and Movements.

Oksana Sarzhevska-Krav—Āhenko, director of IZOLYATSIA, was in residence at Delfina Foundation between June and August 2017.
