Announcement: Winter residents 2018
Delfina Foundation is pleased to announce the selections for our winter season 2018 residency programme, which will take place from 8 January – 1 April 2018.
Three of our winter residents have been awarded places through the Brooks International Fellowship Programme 2018, a collaboration between Tate and Delfina Foundation. Now in its third year, the programme enables three curators, researchers, art historians or other museum professionals to join the Tate team, actively participating in gallery projects and discussions, with special access to the collection, programme, archive, staff and wider networks, during their 3-month residencies at Delfina. These fully funded opportunities are made possible by the generous support of the Rory and Elizabeth Brooks Foundation. Selected through an open call, the successful applicant are Chanon Kenji Praepipatmongkol (Thailand), Nadine Siegert (Germany) and Katia Sowels (France).
In addition, through a new partnership with Gaia Art Foundation, Anton Lapov (Ukraine) has also been selected to join our winter season, from an open call for eastern European artists working and living in the region.
Finally, continuing our Collecting as Practice thematic programme, we are pleased to be welcoming several new collectors-in-residence during our winter season. These include, Haro Cumbusyan (Turkey), founder of collectorspace, Istanbul (26/02–04/03/18); Mimi Brown (Hong Kong/USA) founder of Spring Workshop, Hong Kong (26/02–04/03/18); Sultan Sooud Al-Qassemi (UAE), founder of Barjeel Art Foundation (12/03–18/03/18); and more.
Biographies of all our winter residents will be available on our website shortly.
