Wok The Rock

Wok The Rock (Indonesia) is an artist interested in developing an experimentation of collectivism, interdisciplinary works, and cultural interventions, using curatorial aesthetics and speculative platforms as artistic practices. He is active across the fields of contemporary art, design and underground music. He is the director of the artist collective Ruang MES 56 in Yogyakarta, runs the music label Yes No Wave Music and is a member of design collective Tuhantu. He initiated the Indonesian Netaudio Forum in 2011 and he was the curator of Biennale Jogja XIII in 2015.

His works have been exhibited and performed at Jakarta Biennale in 2013, Koganecho Bazaar in Yokohama; 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art in Sydney; Stedelijk Museum Bureau in Amsterdam; SongEun Art Space in Seoul; and at Casco - Office for Art, Design and Theory in Utrecht.
